Gabriel Carballal is an agronomist and a ‘farmer with no farm’, growing winter crops of wheat, ÎºÏÎ¹Î¸Î¬ÏÎ¹, ÎºÎ±Î½ÏŒÎ»Î±, Î²ÏÏŽÎ¼Î·, grass seed and summer crops of soybean, ÎºÎ±Î»Î±Î¼Ï€ÏŒÎºÎ¹, and sorghum on 1,500 personally leased hectares with additional hectares in partnership with his family and two different societies in Uruguay. Carballal volunteers as a board member for the Global Farmer Network. Gabriel has been recognized by the GFN as a 2021 Î’ÏÎ±Î²ÎµÎ¯Î¿ Kleckner Î³Î¹Î± Ï„Î¿ Î²ÏÎ±Î²ÎµÎ¯Î¿ Global Farm Leadership.
