Sugarcane farmer. He has 40 hectares of land in the mountains and a 22-hectare farm in the city proper, where 5 of those hectares have been converted to fruit, poultry and swine production. Ryan was recently elected president of the Philippine Councilors League (PCL) - Negros Occidental Chapter. He has been a Silay City councilor.
