Oursmall-scalefamily farm is located near our ancestral villages situated in Punjab,

My family owns 5hectares of land in our ancestral village. We follow a cropping sequence of wheat and rice. In the winter and summer, we also grow a mixture of fodder crops that include rye grass, mustardوmaize.

Ilook forward to discussing the challenges with the otherglobal farmers. Some topics to be considered:

Climate change Soil conservation use of new technology Protection of intellectual property rights Promotion of biotechnology Resistance problems Strengthening of farmer organizations to support policies Need-based research for the regional level Promotion of extension services in south Asian countries Nutritional hunger challenges with bio-fortified wheat and Golden rice Access to high tech machines, complex production practices and production regulations that require skilled labor.
