The 2018 Global Farmer Roundtable is scheduled for Oct 16-17 in Des Moines, Iowa – coinciding with the week of the World Food Prize Borlaug Dialogue and International Symposium.
As the Roundtable approaches GFN is introducing this year’s participants. So let’s get to know a little bit about Rodney Kili who farms in western Kenya…
Name: Rodney Kili
Farm Name: Komool Farms, 1000 acres near Eldoret, Uasin-Gishu County
Activity: We grow malting barley, commercial maize – of which we also go the extra mile by doing value addition to it through milling and process maize flour for sale. We also grow wheat, sunflower and a little canola too.
We do some dairy farming (25 lactating cows) on a small scale which we are still expanding.
