I work with my father and two older brothers on our family farm. I currently produce Japanese Green tea on 10 ha with the traditional method calledKamairi-cha. We also raise about 20 beef cattle -for breeding which feed on forage as well as homemade rice silage.

What are you looking forward to most as you prepare to participate in the 2018 Global Farmer Roundtable?

I believe that the Roundtable will be an awesome experience. It is exciting to learn about the agricultural scene in various parts of the world.

Atsumi is the first person from Japan to attend the Global Farmer Roundtable. The field is green tea.
