Infrastructure refers to fundamental facilities and systems that serve a country, city or region so its economy can function. As it relates to trade, infrastructure would include roads, bridges, tunnels, railroads, canals, water and electric supplies, and telecommunications needed to support the free movement of goods that are essential to enable, sustain or enhance societal living conditions.
