Carol Keiser-Long established and currently manages C-BAR Cattle Company, feeding 5,000 to 6,000 head of cattle in Kansas, Nebraska and Western Illinois. As an agriculture advocate at the state and national level, she is focused on programs and hands on opportunities that expose young women to careers in food and agriculture. Carol volunteers as a board member for the Global Farmer Network and is the current Treasure for the organization. She also provides leadership to numerous organizations including the Farm Foundation, National Agricultural Research, Extension, Education and Economics Advisory Board, National Cattleman’s Beef Association and US Premium Beef. With a degree in Animal Science form the University of Illinois, Carol has been recognized for Distinguished Service to the University and the school’s College of Agriculture, Conservation and Environmental Services.
